Please meet the new Avenue Board of Directors. Eight motivated individuals have taken on the responsibility of helping to determine what the future of the Avonair Curling Club will look like in the coming years.

We will approach our tenure as a board keeping in mind the following values:

It is our intention to keep these values at the core of every decision we make moving forward.

Our mission statement incorporates these values:

Continuing the legacy of Avonair curling in a responsible and sustainable way
while striving for further inclusivity and diversity within the curling community.

The Avonair Curling Club is facing a number of challenges. The most pressing issues for the club are:

1. The repayment of a loan coming due in the fall for the repairs to the north wall of the lounge.
2. The plant is nearing the end of its functional life. In January of 2025, the chiller will require recertification, and due to its age, it is not guaranteed that we will be able to receive the necessary certification.
3. The roof will need to be replaced in the near future for insurance purposes.

The board of the Edmonton Avenue Curling Association and are currently in discussions to determine the best plan moving forward. We will need your help and your input in the coming months to allow us to take the necessary steps to preserve the association that we all care about.

The first thing we would like to do is create an updated contact list with all shareholder names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. This will allow us to communicate much more effectively with all shareholders, ensuring that everyone has their voice heard when the decision making begins.
